The numbers on the left side there is 100's of billions.

Remember, he's only been president for 3 months and already it'll take every Americans' lifetime paying 90% or more of their wages to tax to pay off just Obama's share of this national debt.

Sure Presidents have been using taxpayer dollars for lots of things in the past. But in the past there was no looming threat of a second great Depression caused by overspending of those taxpayer dollars funneling them straight into the pockets of big business executives. If the country is going just fine economically, I think the President has earned a little free time on the taxpayer dime. He performed his duties. But when he's shrugging his duties off ADMITTEDLY and at the same time buying courtside tickets to a basketball game, all the while NOT DOING HIS JOB, it's uncalled for. Like I said, he can watch the game from the comfort of his $100k chair in the oval office.

You don't live in the US? Well that's a shock...how about you stay out of topics that you don't have any personal experience in, and let the people directly affected by Obama's socialist agenda have the floor.

Reading charts ftw?

It doesn't matter if you were talking about Bush's years here...the deficit has had its highs and lows but this current high and the projection for years to come has not had an equivalent since the 30's. Bush pushed for a single bailout of the auto manufacturers. Obama took that and ran with it, forking out trillions to all kinds of businesses looking to take government control of the banks, insurance agencies, etc etc etc. It's a supremely socialist agenda, and people like you are supporting it 100%. The world has seen what socialism does to the quality of life in countries around the world. It's never a good thing.

Peddler, how is this trolling? Because I'm the only critic of Obama's actions in a world full of messiah-followers?

I didn't like Bush either, but for different reasons. I haven't liked any president since I was born, all for different reasons.

Dude have you seen a picture from bush before and after the terms? He looks horrible now. That's how stressful his job is. Taking a short break ftw.

Also....im pretty sure we were almost always in debt ever since breaking free from Britain lol

Besides, talking on a games forum site isn't going to do shit. I say the same thing to all complainers.

If you have a problem, do something about it and stop bitching. Talk to your govmnt, start some marches or something. Theres plenty you could ACTUALLY do to get your way but complaining on a mmorpg site isnt one of em.

Communication is communication, regardless of the medium. Just because this is a gaming site doesn't mean the information is any less relevant, and it doesn't mean I'm not actively discussing these issues elsewhere as well. Getting the opinions and facts out there and discussing them in multiple settings allows a more informed voter base, rather than sticking to the avenues chock full of only people who agree. Change doesn't happen in that case. The word isn't being spread, it's just being discussed between the same people who already feel the same way.

In case you haven't stayed on the up-and-up of the economics end of the bailouts, they are actually loans, and if the companies that receive them stay afloat, they will have to repay the loans with interest, and if they do not repay them, the company will become nationalized.

If you're going to look at the national deficit in that respect, then, in 2012, Obama is going to look like a fricking God when the loans start getting paid back, though I'm sure you'll use other biased statistics to look at the deficit.

Bush went to baseball games during the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 season when the economy was just as gloomy. I'm not even sure if either of them used taxpayer dollars to get tickets. Their salaries are in the neighborhood of $400,000/year, so they could afford them themselves...

Also, it is absurd to ask any human being to work 20 hours per day.

Shrugging off advice from fellow humans (whether they be from America or not) is never a good idea. Just because they aren't from America doesn't mean they don't have good insight on economic struggles. I think it would be a fair guess to say he isn't an economics professor at Cambridge or anything, but just to disregard an opinion because of where someone lives is just dumb, imho.

Go away Troll.

A little thing called "the effects of one president can linger past his term" shows that Barrack has to deal with Bush's problems for more than a couple months.

Also, Keynesian economics is vastly superior and sound stuff compared to Reaganomics and other bullshit.

Disagree with the majority and the majority attack you. That's life, safety and power in numbers, especially when it comes to money. Annnnnd we all know how big of an influence money has when running for president. Cripes, what a sad system.

There you go drinking the kool-aid, buying into Obama's "inheriting" of Bush's problems. Give me a break. Bush didn't put 3.5 trillion dollars worth of "bailouts" through congress, so give me a break. The Republican party warned the Democratic congress that these problems were going to happen but they ignored it.

Oh, so some socialist guy said Obama isn't a socialist. And we all know people don't lie. Why wouldn't a Socialist want to claim obama to be non-socialist? it's a good way to keep Obama in a good light. If I were a member of the Mafia, and I got accused of being a member of the Mafia...who would I want to testify that I'm not? Certainly not someone who isn't a member of the Mafia...I'd want the fkn Godfather to sit there on the bench under oath saying I'm not part of his "family". He should know, right? What better witness would there be to me not being a Mafioso? The same holds true to Socialists. They say "nah, B. Hussein Obama isn't a socialist, we should know." Then when the cameras turn, they snicker to one another "lol they bought it."

Government nationalization of the banks is never positive. Period. Would you want the most powerful government in the world in control of every financial aspect of your life? Right now all they can do is subpoena to seize funds of people who commit major crimes. If they nationalize the banks, they can seize funds of anyone they see fit without any checks and balances. If they control insurance, banks, auto manufacturers (look back at the UK before giving it back to the private sector, see how that worked out), only bad things happen. Period. The Government can't be trusted to efficiently run the programs they're already in charge of...I'm not going to trust them to run the banks too.

@ Kanyatta: yes they're loans, but do you really think the businesses are going to be paying them back? No. The taxpayers will.

Does anyone know Zen perception, what you see is your perception you have too look more than what you interpret.

You need to make sense in order to be taken seriously.

That's my Zen.
